If 2020 has taught people anything, it’s that they can train at home just as effectively as they can in the gym. There are hundreds of online workouts you can do with or without equipment and it’s a great way to keep fit and active from the comfort of your living room.
At Ultra Events we are passionate about getting people fit and healthy in an accessible way. On our YouTube channel, you will find lots of home workouts and nutritional advice that you can do from home. Whether you have 10 minutes or more to spare, you can do a workout at home with no equipment.

Dedicate time every day to exercise; this can be used for running or for a workout in your garden or your living room. Do this when it works for you, if you feel motivated, do this, first thing in the morning, if you don’t have time in the morning, do this in the evening. Try something new, there are lots of tutorials and workouts you can use so why not give Yoga a try or try HIIT training.
The best way to keep your workouts interesting, vary the type, the length, and the exercises you use. When exercising it’s important to make sure you warm up before and cool down and stretch afterwards.
Some examples of workouts you can do are:
- Running – run fast and you will use more calories than you would be jogging slowly.
- Bodyweight exercises– A burpee or a squat will use lots more calories than a sit-up.
- Weight training– Stick to compound movements like squats and chin-ups rather than isolation exercises like bicep curls.
You can put this together in different ways, training in intervals or for time or as many rounds as possible (AMRAP).
