Accounting and taxation lecturer Louise O’Sullivan from Kealkil, Bantry traded her classroom for the boxing ring to raise funds for charity. The Ultra White Collar Boxing charity event took place on December 20th in Coventry. Participants with no prior boxing experience joined an eight-week training programme before competing in a live bout in front of thousands. Louise won her match against opponent Kashie after three rounds with a knock-down in round two, raising £1,300 for the Positive Youth Foundation, a Coventry-based charity in England that supports young people who are at risk of social exclusion, by providing mentoring, education and community programmes.
