Wanting to get fitter and healthier, Josh saw Ultra as the perfect opportunity to get their fitness back on track. Josh chose to support Mind, a charity close to their heart, after experiencing their own struggles with mental health and suffering the heartbreaking loss of a close friend, Aaron, who tragically took his own life on New Year’s Day 2024. Taking part became a way to honour Aaron’s memory while helping spread the message that it’s okay to talk and okay to not be okay.
Just two weeks into training, the impact has already been life changing, with an incredible one stone lost and confidence growing rapidly. Having discovered Ultra through social media and friends who had previously taken part, Josh describes the experience as exhilarating, thrilling, and above all else, amazing.
